Davy chou's diamond island will hold its United States premiere at New York's new directors/new films

DIAMOND ISLAND, by Khmer-French director Davy CHOU, will hold its United States Premiere at the 46th edition of the prestigious New Directors/New Films Festival, organized in New York City by the Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, on 25 March 2017.

NEW YORK, NY, USA—Cambodian film production company Anti-Archive is proud to announce that DIAMOND ISLAND, the first narrative feature film from Khmer-French director Davy CHOU, will hold its United States Premiere at the 46th installment of the prestigious New Directors/New Films Festival, which begins this week on 15 March  2017.  The film will be screened on 25 March at the Museum of Modern Art’s Titus 2 Cinema and on 26 March at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater. The film was produced by Charlotte VINCENT of Aurora Films (France) and co-produced by Davy CHOU, Steve CHEN, and Kavich NEANG of Anti-Archive (Cambodia).

Douglas Seok's TURN LEFT TURN RIGHT will premiere in competition at Torino Film Festival this month

TURN LEFT TURN RIGHT, the debut feature film from Korean-American director Douglas SEOK produced by Anti-Archive and shot entirely in Cambodia, has been selected for the Official Competition at the prestigious Torino International Film Festival in Torino (Turin), Italy, held this year from 18 to 26 November.

TORINO, ITALY—Cambodian film production company Anti-Archive is honored to announce that TURN LEFT TURN RIGHT, the debut feature film from Korean-American director Douglas SEOK, was selected for official competition at the Torino International Film Festival (TFF). Douglas SEOK, of Sea Oak Studios, wrote, directed, edited, and produced the film, which was shot in 2014 and 2015 on location in Cambodia. Steve CHEN led Anti-Archive’s part in the production with additional support from associate producers Davy CHOU, Kavich NEANG, and PARK Sungho.

DOI BOY, a new Thai-Khmer project in development directed by Thai filmmaker Nontawat NUMBENCHAPOL and produced by Anti-Archive’s Steve CHEN, is one of five projects accepted to the competitive Southeast Asian Fiction Film Lab (Seafic). 

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND—Cambodian film production company Anti-Archive is pleased to announce that DOI BOY, a new project in development, is one of five films accepted to the highly competitive first year of Southeast Asian Fiction Film Lab (Seafic). The feature film will be the first entirely fictional work from rising Thai director, Nontawat NUMBENCHAPOL (By the River, 2013; Boundary, 2013; and, #BKKY, 2016).

MUMBAI, INDIA—Cambodian film production company Anti-Archive is excited and honored to announce that DIAMOND ISLAND, the first narrative feature film from Khmer-French director Davy CHOU, has received the Golden Gateway Award for best film in the international competition at the 18th Mumbai International Film Festival (MAMI), the largest and most prestigious film festival in India.

ANTI-ARCHIVE made its debut at last week’s Busan International Film Festival with a historic two awards for WHITE BUILDING, a developing project by Kavich NEANG, and the Asian Premiere of DIAMOND ISLAND, a feature film directed by Davy CHOU.

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA—Cambodian film production company Anti-Archive is pleased to announce that, on 11 October 2016, director Kavich NEANG received two prizes at the awards ceremony of the Asian Project Market (APM) as part of the 21st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in Busan, South Korea. The project was invited to APM alongside 26 other films currently in varied stages of development.
